Here's A List Of Where SoCal Edison Will Turn Off Power For Thousands!

It's that time of year again where the Santa Ana winds are in full force and if you're working from home or doing distance learning, you might want to prepare for a possible power outage. SoCal Edison is warning more than 100,000 customers their power could be shut down because of strong winds posing a danger to electrical lines as it could cause wildfires. A Red Flag warning is currently in effect until tonight due to the Santa Ana winds and the extremely dry conditions. Yesterday, there were large scattered power outages throughout the region that weren't even considered public safety shutoffs. The public safety power shutoff warning went out to more than 58,000 customers in San Bernardino County and more than 11,000 customers in Riverside County. Meanwhile, more than 3,000 SoCal Edison customers in Jurupa Valley, 2,500 in Simi Valley, and 922 in Grand Terrace were reported to be without power.

In Los Angeles County, more than 24,000 customers were warned their power could go out and more than 14,000 customers in Ventura county received a notice as well. School districts have already sent out a warning to parents and advised them to let teachers know about the outage as soon as possible. If you have AT&T, you probably already received a text warn them of the possible outage and that they were working to limit any wireless service interruptions.
