Before and After! Four weeks in!

I'm four weeks in to my 12-week challenge at Titan Fitness and while it hasn't been easy, it has been SO WORTH IT! If you know me, you know I've accepted the fact that my body has changed since I reached an age closer to 40 than 30. Losing weight is harder than it has ever been...gaining it, well it's the easiest task imaginable. I swear just looking at a fast food restaurant from the street causes me to gain five pounds.

The thing is, I don't want to stress over it. I don't want to count every calorie and do cardio until I puke. I want to live my life and I want to enjoy my exercise.

The last four weeks have been just that. I'm intermittent fasting. And while that doesn't mean I'm visiting the drive-through window, I do have more freedom in what I eat than I ever did dieting. I'm working out three nights a week. And I LOVE IT. Hour long workouts that mix things up each night working every muscle in my body. I'm never bored. And those hours fly by. Which also means I  have more time for the things that are now coming easier for me - hiking, running races, walking the pup...

In four weeks I've lost 8 pounds. I've gained muscle and lowered my body fat. I've improved on my fitness testing (push-ups, planks, sit-ups and burpees). I ran my first negative split during a 5k this weekend. My clothes fit better. But most importantly? 

I'M HAPPY. And not just because I'm seeing and feeling results. But because I'm still living my life sans the stress of losing weight. Instead I'm LIVING HEALTHY.

And I'm totally okay with that.
