After cancelling tour dates earlier this month due to "chronic and intense back pain," Paul Simon's back on the road — and charging fans for requested songs.

During a show in Los Angeles on July 16, a fan yelled for Simon to play "Kodachrome."

“I don’t take requests but I’ll do some of it for $20,” Simon replied. The next thing he knew, the fan handed him a $20 bill. The iconic singer-songwriter stuck to his word and played about 90 seconds of the 1973 song, which he hasn't performed live since 2019. Another audience member caught it all on camera and posted the interaction on TikTok.

The trek, billed as  "A Quiet Celebration Tour," kicked off in April and was Simon's triumphant return to the stage after getting diagnosed with severe hearing loss. See the "Kodachrome" interaction and Simon's remaining tour dates below.
