Lori Loughlin was released from prison on Monday (December 28). The Fuller House actress served a nearly two-month sentence for her involvement in the college admissions scam.
According to an Us Weekly source, Loughlin "spent the last two weeks in isolation before she was released, so it has been especially tough, but she’s thankful to put it behind her." The reason Loughlin was in isolation was a COVID-19 outbreak in the prison. "It was a precaution and not a punishment,” the source added.
Loughlin's daughters, Isabella Giannulli and Olivia Jade Giannulli, reportedly picked her up by private jet from the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California. Their reunion was "bittersweet" because Mossimo Giannulli remains in prison. “Lori had a very emotional reunion with her daughters this morning at the family home,” the source said. “She was relieved to be out of prison.”
While Loughlin has already paid her fines, she still has to complete 100 hours of community service as part of her sentencing. “Before she went in, Lori was volunteering with children with special needs and intends to continue doing that, even if it’s not a part of her ordered community service,” the source revealed. “It’s hard to be home without [her husband], of course. They are praying to be reunited on Easter.”
