Unbelievable! There was a Green Puppy Born in Italy!

Green Puppy Born in Italy In what animal experts say is an extremely rare event, a puppy has been born in Italy with green fur. The dog, appropriately named Pistachio, was among a litter of seven born this week in Sardinia -- but the only one with a green pigment, says owner Cristian Mallocci. Animal experts say the rare occurrence happens when a light-colored puppy comes in contact with a green pigment called Biliverdin in the womb. Earlier this year, a lime green German Shepherd was born in North Carolina. In most cases, the unusual color fades as the dog gets older, experts say. Why hasn't dying dogs' fur ever become a trend? What's the most unusual pet you've owned?
