Paul McCartney Answers The Web's Most Searched Questions About Himself

Much like everyone else on the planet, Sir Paul McCartney looks to the Internet for answers to some of the most burning questions, or at least he did during WIRED's famed autocomplete interview series.

On Thursday (September 13), WIRED published their video segment with the iconic musician, where he answered some of the net's most burning questions about himself. Why is Paul's nickname "Macca"? Did The Beatles play at Woodstock? It's all in this newly-published 15-minute video, which includes a noteworthy answer to the inspiration to "Let It Be."

"I had a dream. It was in the years when we were overdoing everything, drinking, staying out too late and getting all crazy. I was a bit exhausted," the famed Beatle member told cameras. "I had a dream and my mother, who had died 10 years previously, was in the dream. She came to me in the dream. It's a magic moment because you're actually there with your mother. She seemed to know that I was a bit stressed out. She said, 'Don't worry. It's going to be fine. Just let it be."

Earlier this week, McCartney made headlines during his promotional circuit for his new album, Egypt Station, telling GQ that he and John Lennon really used to masturbate together when they were teens. "Maybe it was like a two-off," McCartney admitted. "Instead of just getting roaring drunk and partying — I don't even know if we were staying over or anything — we were all just in these chairs, and the lights were out and somebody started masturbating, so we all did."
